Will Gemau Cymru provide transport between competition venues?

Gemau Cymru will provide transport from the Athlete’s Village to the competition venues.

Will there be first aid cover at every venue?

There will be First Aid/ Physiotherapy support at all competition venues.

Can members of the public / friends / family come to support Gemau Cymru competitions?

 Of course, everyone is welcome to come and spectate and support Gemau Cymru. All events apart (from the Athletics) is free entry for spectators and there is no need to book tickets beforehand. 

Who can compete in this event?

Selection process of each sport has been advised by the relevant National Governing Body of that sport. Once the selection process has been confirmed the website will be updated and successful competitors will be sent a formal invitation.  

Do athletes have to stay in the Athletes Village?

We encourage competitors to stay in the Athletes Village however it is not compulsory. Gemau Cymru are keen to emulate major sporting competitions.  The Athlete’s Village is a unique opportunity for competitors to gain experiences of being part of an Athletes Village, where they get a great opportunity to socialize, meet new friends and take part in the true spirit of the games.
