The vision within Welsh Table Tennis is ‘For All, For Life’, which fits into the ethos of Gemau Cymru.  Table Tennis in Wales is on the increase, with more clubs opening to develop the sport.  The ITTF has 226 affiliated countries which means every country in the world now have organised table tennis.  It’s a truly global sport.  Table Tennis Wales are very excited to give young people the opportunity to play in a multisport event, which will lead them to Commonwealth and Olympic Games stardom.

Table Tennis Ambassador

Lauren Stacey

The first time I picked up a table tennis bat was at the age of 6 at a holiday resort in Spain. At that point I was oblivious to the fact that table tennis was not a game but a sport. I am Lauren Stacey and I have been playing table tennis for 5 years. After joining the St Mellon’s Table Tennis Club at 10 years of age, I found passion and love within table tennis. Following half a decade of playing, training and competing I have become conscious of the fact that playing table tennis has opened various new doors for me. From being able to compete and travel in many different countries to making friends from various places and cultures. I am excited and enthusiastic to start the 2019-2020 season and I am eager to improve as my aspirations in the near future is to be picked to play in the Commonwealth Games.
