Hockey Wales were delighted with the news that we were to be accepted as part of Gemau Cymru this year. To be part of a multi-sport event gives our talented athletes much valued exposure to both good level competition but also the opportunity to sample an athletes' village, a unique environment that will assist in their social and cultural development.
Furthermore, to be immersed in a bilingual event will be a unique experience for the athletes, not just from a national pride perspective but also as we continue to attempt to provide a broad range of developmental experiences.

Cari Davies, 18 year old Wales International.
Cari came through the Welsh pathway, moving from 360 into Aspire and onto representing Wales at National Age Group level. Cari made her senior debut in 2018 against Poland aged 17.
‘I’m really pleased to be associated with Hockey Wales and Gemau Cymru for this event, as a player who has come through the 360 pathway it’s great to see it’s still going strong and that the players get opportunities to play in events like Gemau Cymru. I hope the players will enjoy the event and use it as another opportunity to develop their game. I’m sure that some of the players playing will go on to be senior internationals of the future, and some of them maybe my team mates in the senior women’s squad.’
